The proposed solutions (a new ROI generation approach, image thresholding, cascade classifiers, multi-spectral imaging ) were designed to improve the accuracy of the pedestrian detection process and to achieve real-time performance in order to apply it in vehicles for example ADAS equipped cars or autonomous vehicles.
